RooMoo is an interior design studio founded in Shanghai by Tao Zhang, Ray Zhang, and Marine Bois. The three come from different backgrounds: interior design, architecture and landscape. The diversity of their multicultural team allows them to explore the critical point between the local culture and internationalisation. Combining their strength enables them to realise different-scale projects such as hotels, commercial interiors and residential.

Their central ethos is to make each project unique. They focus on bringing a singular response to the needs and aims of all their clients. To do that, RooMoo systematically does some research and investigation. They study the ordinary to be able to create the outstanding. Therefore, each concept story for every project will be unique. Each material surface and furniture used will be subject to a long approach and search.

RooMoo’s anchor aims to be environmentally friendly throughout the design process and construction. RooMoo is willing to play with materials at the crossroads between industrialisation and craftsmanship. To apply, re-invent, add and re-use what exists for the pleasure of living to achieve sustainability and protect the environment.
