Frequently asked questions
Is there a cost to enter?
The cost to enter ranges from £320 - £390. A 20% entry fee reduction will be applied to each additional category that you enter your project into. A registration fee of £50* is applied to each entrant, this is per entrant not per entry.
What is the eligibility criteria to enter?
Projects must have opened or have undergone significant renovations between 1st January 2023 and 31st March 2024.
What is the closing date for entries?
The closing date for entries is 2nd June 2024.
How are our projects judged?
Projects are graded by judges from some of the most influential hospitality and media companies globally. This years judges.
What categories should I enter?
You can find a breakdown of the category descriptions here. Should you require any additional help with choosing the correct category for your project, please contact the relevant regional team member.
Can I enter in other languages?
All entries must be written in English.
What happens if I win?
The shortlist will be informed in the week commencing 5th August 2024 on our website and Instagram, the Category Winners and the Overall Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Barcelona, Spain on 31st October 2024.
Category and overall winners must be present at the awards ceremony in order to receive their trophies (one for the Designer and one for the Operator). If for any reason a Designer or Operator cannot attend the awards ceremony, they are still obligated to purchase their awards trophy, which will be shipped to them directly or collected at the ceremony by the other attending party.
What happens at the awards ceremony?
A dazzling cocktail party on Thursday 31st October in Barcelona, Spain will round off three days of networking events and insightful talks, attended by 300+ of the industry’s most prominent designers, owners, operators and creative pioneers.
In addition to the formal announcements and trophy presentations, the awards ceremony evening will be themed on ‘Mosaic of Innovation: Celebrating Co-Creation and Diversity’ and interpreted through creative elements such as theatrical performance, fashion, light, sound, visual identity as well as the cocktails and cuisine.
What promotion does my project receive?
Every entry will be published on the Awards website on your very own landing page and remain there for all time. Hotel, Restaurant and Bar operators around the world follow the awards closely and use the website as a source to identify the best designers and design trends. We are also closely followed by the world's leading hospitality media who promote our awards on their various channels. Shortlisted and winning projects will also receive promotion online and on our social media.
