Design Excellence is a true partnership between owner, designer and operators with guests needs and desires foremost in their objective. Consideration should never be ‘style over substance’ as product delivery is always of paramount consideration. We must remember how critical the workforce is to the success of an operation and personally I feel a well-designed and functional building acts a recruitment tool, attracting and retaining good staff and assisting their performance. Finally Design Excellence should also embody risk-taking, exceeding expectations. Daring is a word I love to use, when a design teams works hard to deliver results in an extraordinary design.
