Born in Taiwan, Andre’s career spans numerous highly successful roles in various Michelin-starred establishments with some of the world’s top chefs. Recently awarded Life Time Achievement Award – Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant 2018; The 15 Most Influential Chefs of the next decade by Elite Traveler. Over the years, he has researched how our capacity to taste food is influenced by our memory banks through personal experiences acquired herewith. This has led him to developing his culinary principle – Octaphilosophy – based on eight primary characteristics: Unique, Texture, Memory, Pure, Terroir, Salt, South and Artisan. Additionally, his love for pottery also reflects his artistic nature by heart.
